Jordan brand always targets athletes, such as basketball players and fitness enthusiasts, by releasing the perfect designs which meet their needs. The Jordan Trunner is one of the lines that Jordan made for sports activities. previously with the Air Jordan Trainer 1, and the Jordan Trunner LX, but most recently with the Jordan Trunner Ultimate.
Originally released on May the 6th, the sneaker seemed to go under most people’s radar, however, those who have gotten a pair seem to only have positive things to say about them.
Firstly, the Jordan Trunner Ultimate has a plain engineered mesh and breathable upper to keep the feet cool, except for a wing shaped tab on the heel. In terms of branding, there is a Jumpman on the tongue and heel, but the most interesting part of the shoe is the sole. Featuring full-length zoom technology that is double stacked in the forefoot, the sole is extremely comfortable, but this is also thanks to the soft foam the Zoom technology is encased in. Although not named by Nike, the foam is soft and bouncy, and the plastic caging on both sides of the midsole gives the model some support. The outsole was designed to be durable to suit all the training surfaces. The Jordan Trunner Ultimate seems to be a decent all-round performance shoe, bringing enough cushioning and stability for running, whilst also having enough traction and support for more general exercises. They have a nice and simple design, which not only causes the shoe to look great, but also makes it very breathable, which will be especially useful as the weather starts to get better.
The only downside however is the steep price point, so if you are not willing to shell out $150, the Jordan Trunner Advance will give you similar tech specs without costing you nearly as much
