First look at the next Air Jordan 11

Every year, we see one colorway of the Air Jordan 11 release in December, and this year will be no different. Although not officially confirmed by Jordan Brand yet, multiple credible sources have shown this initial picture of what this year’s Air Jordan 11 is expected to look like.

The Air Jordan 11 was first released in the year of 1995, designed by Tinker Hatfield and since then it become an icon in the sneakers world. It is the eleventh model in the Air Jordan line as a result of a collaboration between Nike and basketball legend Michael Jordan in the 1980s. This model of Air Jordan is designed to be suitable for casual wearing and on the court.

Firstly, it is a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 11, featuring black patent leather and black mesh on the upper with silver accents adding an elegant touch to the overall look of the shoe. These silver accents include the Jumpman logo on the heel, but also Jordan lettering on the eyelets. The midsole is a standard foam, but with a carbon fiber shank plate and a full-length Air-unit, all these features provide extra stability and superior cushioning. The outsole looks to be a creamy white rubber and it offers traction of different training surfaces.

The reaction to this leak has been very mixed, as although the colorway is not particularly insulting, many Air Jordan 11 fans were hoping for a classic colorway rather than a new one. Especially when only one Air Jordan 11 High comes out a year, for the fans who don’t like this year’s release, it can be quite frustrating to know that it will be over a year until they can get their hands on a pair they may like. That being said, the design still looks to be quite popular, so we can still expect these to fly off shelves this holiday season.

We have not yet got official word from the Jordan brand about when this Air Jordan 11 will release, but it is expected that they will drop on the 12th of December. Likewise, the Air Jordan 11 should hopefully release for $220, and will most likely be available primarily from Nike’s SNKRS app, as well as most big sneaker retailers.
